In my infinite wisdom, I somehow decided that knit-alongs (KALs) would be a great way to stay focused and actually complete a project or two. The last knit along I signed up for and bought yarn has officially ended and I have yet to start. Yep, great way to stay focused and actually complete a project. So, [...] In another life, I used to sew…a lot. When that life crumbled and I moved on I stopped sewing as I didn’t have the time. My sewing machine and serger came with me and were stuffed into a closet to await a time when they might be needed again. In the ensuing years since the old [...] Lately I have been focused on sewing and have great fun sewing clutches and whatnot. My attempts at a sundress have been utterly horrible. Shirred fabric and F-cup boobs just do not go together. Oh well, I had fun learning how to shirr and I can think of all sorts of little girl dresses to make. [...] I have tried to keep myself focused on one knitting project at any given time in the hopes that I will actually finish said project. This method has resulted in an unusually high number of Unfinished Objects. As evidenced by said pile of Unfinished Objects, I decided to re-evaluate my methodologies when it comes to knitting [...] I recently finished a Tappan Zee knit from Malabrigo Silky yarn. The sweater came out beautifully and I love having this layering piece in my wardrobe. I am currently spinning some lovely Bamboo/Merino for my second Tappan Zee.
