I love going to The Spinning Loft in Howell, Michigan. This was my third trip to The Spinning Loft and these were my first ever spinning classes. The classes were broken into three subject areas: Long Draw, Playing with Multicolored Roving and Big and Lofty Yarns. Maggie Casey is an amazing teacher who has the patience [...] I have come to the conclusion that the Brandywine Shawl is meant to drive me insane! This is not a difficult lace pattern by any means but it is kicking my butt. Chart A took three attempts before I was able to complete it without any mistakes. I felt so relieved to be finished with Chart [...] I have tried to keep myself focused on one knitting project at any given time in the hopes that I will actually finish said project. This method has resulted in an unusually high number of Unfinished Objects. As evidenced by said pile of Unfinished Objects, I decided to re-evaluate my methodologies when it comes to knitting [...] I recently finished a Tappan Zee knit from Malabrigo Silky yarn. The sweater came out beautifully and I love having this layering piece in my wardrobe. I am currently spinning some lovely Bamboo/Merino for my second Tappan Zee.
